Tiger's Push

The not so recent introduction of the new budget airline Tiger Airways was a very successful one, they started with $35 one-way flights as an introduction to their first services. Tiger started on the 23rd of November 2007 and started with their hub in Melbourne, flying to destinations including Alice Springs, Darwin, Mackay, Rockhampton and Perth and many more. But soon after their initial flights they dropped the Darwin route on the 25th of October due to the high fuel and Airport levys. After their initial pushes Tiger is now going strong, with a strong fleet of Airbus A320s flying to 18 destinations within Australia and also connecting to a strong international Parent company that flies from Perth to all over Asia.

Soon after its start Tiger was being faced with accusations towards why their fares were so cheap and whether they should be allowed to undermine the other airlines profits. But now Tiger is pushing forward after opening their second base in Australia in Adelaide. Soon they might take over Qantas' roles?
